About the Opportunity
A full-time position is available for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) on a fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will work across two well-equipped small animal practices located just 10 minutes apart, both of which are dedicated to providing excellent veterinary care, including specialised clinics.
The role entails a 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday (8-hour shifts), with a requirement to work 1 in 6 full weekends.

Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Provide exceptional care to patients and clients.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures, including pre- and post-procedure responsibilities.
- Conduct nurse-led appointments and perform Schedule 3 activities.
- Monitor and care for patients.
- Manage admissions and discharges under the direction of the veterinary team.
- Coordinate patient transfers for out-of-hours or enhanced care.
- Dispense and check medications.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and practice standards.
- Lead briefings to engage and coordinate the team, promoting efficient practice operations.

About You

You will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others. A Degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) and full registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) are required.

GVC are providing recruitment support to a wonderful small, well-equipped family-owned Veterinary Hospital based in Geelong West.
An established clinic that is 26 years old. They are currently open Monday through to Saturday. Hours are Monday -Friday 9am-6pm & Saturday 9am-1pm.
It is a 1.5 vet clinic and it can get quite busy, they have in house idexx blood machine, idexx sedivue and digital X-ray. The lead Vet & owner is planning on buying dental X-ray in next 1-2 months.
We are looking for a dedicated veterinarian with some experience who is good with clients and wants to practice modern medicine.
Looking for a part time vet or full-time vet who is happy to work some Saturdays (ideally 1 in 2 Saturday but it can be negotiable). The lead Vet has a membership in emergency and critical care
It will be nice if the vet has a strong interest in surgery- if someone can do orthopedic like TPLO, that would be ideal.
