Farm Animal Veterinary Surgeon
Salary: Up to £75,000

Welcome Bonus: Up to £10,000 pro rata
Relocation Allowance: Up to £8,000 pro rata
An exciting opportunity is available for a Large Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a team in a 4 FTE Farm and Equine role within a busy mixed practice. The position focuses on delivering proactive service to farm and equine clients, with a well-established client base of pedigree and commercial beef and sheep clients.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with proactive clients and staff management; however, training and support will be provided by senior team members.
Rota
The role offers up to 40 hours per week for full-time candidates, with flexibility to consider part-time applicants and adaptable working hours. The new vet will contribute to the Out-of-Hours (OOH) rota, currently set at a 1:5 basis, and play a key role in evolving it to maintain ideal working conditions.
About the Team
The team consists of approximately 15 vets, including 10 full-time equivalent vets, with a dedicated Large Animal team of 4 FTE vets. During the busy Spring and Autumn seasons, additional support is required. The practice is equipped with advanced facilities like Easi-scan Go Scanners, Bull Fertility Equipment, Foot Trimming Facilities, and an internal IDEXX Lab.
