Veterinary Surgeon – Full or Part-Time – Flexible Working Opportunities
We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a dedicated team, working across three branches. Whether you're seeking full-time or part-time work, flexible working patterns to suit your needs can be looked at.
The Role
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week over 4 days with 1:3 half weekends (Saturday mornings & afternoon consults only). Welcome part-time applications and are happy to consider flexible arrangements—let me know what works best for you!
About the Practice
The main practice is located in the town centre, which has been recently refurbished and offers a welcoming, modern environment. Just 2miles from Nottingham city centre, the practice is equipped with ultrasound, digital X-ray, and ECG.
There are also consult-only branches at two of the other sites. While the practice provides a comprehensive range of in-house services, you’ll also have access to advanced diagnostics, such as MRI and CT scans.
Team:
- Four vets, including one currently pursuing a certificate in medicine.
- You’ll also work alongside a supportive nursing team, led by an experienced head nurse who holds a certificate in animal behaviour and is an accredited kennel club trainer.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering exceptional clinical care to patients during consultations and procedures.
- Providing clear, effective communication and updates to clients.
- Creating tailored treatment plans with accurate cost estimates.
- Supporting and mentoring your team, fostering professional growth.
- Collaborating with colleagues to share clinical best practices and support patient care across practices.
Shift Patterns
- Full-time: 40 hours per week over 4 days
- Weekends: 1 in 3 half weekends (Saturday consults)
- Part-time: Flexible arrangements available
What We’re Looking For
- RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
- Ability to deliver high-quality care to patients and clients
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills
- Experience supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures
- Commitment to maintaining progressive clinical standards and fostering a positive work culture
