Job Title: Veterinary Surgeon

Salary: £60,000 per annum

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established practice in the heart of Salisbury. A short walk from the vibrant city centre, the practice benefits from its prime location amidst cultural attractions, outstanding shopping, and dining options. Beyond the city, you'll find picturesque countryside and iconic landmarks such as Stonehenge just 10 miles away.

The practice boasts a loyal client base built over 20 years, with a busy caseload and high surgical demand. Facilities include three well-equipped consultation rooms, a theatre, dental and digital x-ray, ultrasound, K-laser, and an in-house pharmacy, all supported by a dedicated team of experienced Nurses and Receptionists.

About the Role

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will deliver exceptional clinical care to patients and foster strong relationships with clients. This role is ideal for a professional with a minimum of 2 years of small animal practice experience who is confident with routine surgery and general medicine.

Working Pattern:

• 4-day working week with consistent days off
• 1:3 Saturday shifts
• Relocation allowances available for candidates moving over 50 miles

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures.
• Develop tailored treatment and care plans, including clear cost estimates.
• Maintain high standards of regulatory and operational compliance.
• Mentor and support the team to enhance their skills and efficiency.
• Conduct effective clinical handovers and arrange patient transfers when needed.
• Share and implement clinical best practices within the practice.

What We’re Looking For

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with at least 2 years of experience in small animal practice.
• Proven ability to deliver outstanding care to patients and clients.
• Effective teamwork and clinical leadership skills.
• Experience supporting nurse consultations and schedule 3 procedures.
• Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills.
