About the Team and Role:
The Lead Education Nurse will collaborate closely with the Clinical Nursing Manager (CNM) to uphold high clinical standards, deliver exceptional patient care, and drive training and development initiatives. This role combines clinical responsibilities with leadership tasks, offering protected time for administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement training strategies for the nursing team, leveraging CPD resources.
- Oversee the induction, training, and progression of new nurses, student VNs (SVNs), and Patient Care Assistants (PCAs).
- Manage and support the mentorship framework, including training and standardisation for Clinical Supervisors and Mentors.
- Maintain Training Practice (TP) accreditation and compliance with RCVS standards.
- Support and guide SVNs in line with educational and Schedule 3 procedure requirements.
- Participate in and promote career progression pathways through the Nursing Career Framework.
- Provide regular feedback, coaching, and development opportunities for direct reports.

To be considered:
The ideal candidate will be a motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with at least two years post-qualification experience. Candidates should have:
- Previous clinical supervisor or mentorship experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- The ability to work independently and effectively lead a team.
