The Role

 

  • Diagnose and treat diseases and injuries of pets; primarily household pets
  • Examine animals to determine the nature of disease or injury and treat animals surgically or medically
  • Communicate with referring veterinarians and surrounding team
  • Care for and advise animal owners about sanitary measures, feeding, and general care to promote the health of animals
  • Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training as appropriate

To be considered for this position, you must have the following:

 

  • DVM/VMD degree or equivalent from an AVMA accredited university
  • ECFVG or PAVE if attended non-AVMA accredited university
  • DEA, State, and USDA licenses (can be acquired when hired)
  • Proficient general medicine, dental, and surgical experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience in GP practice
