The Role

 

Full-Time Emergency Veterinarian role including:

 

  • Triage – assessing patients to prioritise care based on the condition of the animal and in turn getting set up for daily practice
  • Diagnostics and being proactive for emergency treatments
  • Performing physical examinations
  • Emergency surgery
  • Medical management and administration ( team briefing if needed )
  • Patient monitoring and after care
  • Ability to be calm and be able to work under pressure

To be considered for this position, you must have the following:

 

  • DVM/VMD degree or equivalent from an AVMA accredited university
  • NAVLE
  • ECFVG or PAVE if attended non-AVMA accredited university
  • DEA, State, and USDA licenses (can be acquired when hired)
  • Proficient general medicine, dental, and surgical experience
