Global Veterinary Careers is proud to be partnering with a well-established and highly respected veterinary practice to recruit an Inpatient/Medical Veterinary Surgeon. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and dedicated team that prioritizes clinical excellence and patient care.
About the Practice and Team:
This is a 24/7 Tier 3 Veterinary Hospital located in Yorkshire, providing high-quality veterinary care and services. The hospital offers:
- Primary care services including consultations, preventative healthcare, vaccinations, routine and laparoscopic surgeries, dentistry, and imaging (x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, CT, and visiting MRI).
- Middle-tier referrals in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, exotics, and dermatology.
- A state-of-the-art rehabilitation centre equipped with physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, and laser therapy.
- Dedicated 24-hour emergency care delivered by a specialist ECC night team.
The practice boasts a large veterinary team, supported by experienced and dedicated nurses and front-of-house staff. Several vets are currently working towards certificates in Surgery, Imaging, Dermatology, Medicine, ECC, and Ophthalmology.
The team prioritizes collaboration, clinical discussions, and social engagement to foster a supportive environment. They are proud to be a Cat-Friendly Clinic and are working towards Bronze-level accreditation as Investors in the Environment.
About the Role:
We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon with a special interest in medicine and inpatient care. This role focuses on ensuring continuity of care for hospitalised patients through examinations, care planning, and liaising with other vets for investigative or surgical procedures. Responsibilities also include overseeing handovers to the night team and handling emergencies if required.
This position is ideal for both experienced vets and recent graduates with a passion for medicine, as development opportunities and support are readily available.

- Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Part-Time applications welcome).

To Be Considered for the Role:
- MRCVS
- Minimum x1 year UK Veterinary Practice experience.
