Veterinary Surgeon

Salary: £42,000 to £58,000 (FTE), based on experience

This popular clinic has expanded rapidly, led by a skilled senior vet and a dedicated support team. Now, there’s an opportunity for a permanent second vet to become part of this successful practice.

About the Role

The practice is situated in a lively South London neighbourhood, easily accessible by public transport and home to a rapidly growing client base. Known for its high surgical caseload, this clinic is ideal for a GP vet eager to work in a busy, surgery-rich environment.

The schedule is designed to provide work-life balance, with alternate Mondays and Fridays off, and a mix of one 10-hour day and three 8-hour days across the week. You’ll also have a 1:4 Saturday rotation and a 1:10 Sunday rotation, plus up to two bank holidays per year. There are no on-call duties.

In this role, you’ll work alongside a close-knit team, including an experienced senior vet, registered nurses, trainees, and an exceptional reception team. Additional support is provided by a dedicated regional manager and a knowledgeable regional head vet.

The practice is fully equipped, including ultrasound facilities, making it perfect for a vet with an interest in diagnostic imaging. More complex cases and overnight care are supported by a nearby 24-hour hospital, so you can confidently handle your caseload.

Kennington’s clinic is fast-paced, suited to a vet who enjoys a busy environment and can manage emergencies and a substantial GP caseload. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further develop their skills in a supportive and dynamic practice.
