GVC is excited to offer a unique opportunity for a veterinary surgeon to join a highly respected provider of export health certificates, supporting the export of food and other animal-origin products to the EU and beyond.

This role doesn’t require prior experience in export work, as comprehensive training and support are fully provided. We’re looking for a veterinary professional with a sharp eye for detail, a flexible approach, and a willingness to travel locally as part of the working day. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your veterinary expertise in a dynamic and growing area of the profession.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Conducting on-site ID checks of export products.
• Reviewing supporting documentation for Export Health Certificates (EHCs).
• Referring to guidance notes and legislation to ensure compliance.
• Stamping and signing EHCs.
• Providing advice and guidance to exporters.
• Building strong working relationships with staff on-site.

You’ll enjoy a mix of travel to various sites (most within 1–1.5 hours from home) and remote work. A standard week is 40 hours, Monday to Friday, with a combination of shorter and longer days. There’s no evening, night, weekend, or abattoir work. Occasionally, you may have the chance to travel and work at other UK locations if desired.

About You:

• A qualified veterinary surgeon.
• MRCVS membership.
• Ideally hold OCQ ES, EX, PX panels* (if not, full training and support are provided to gain these).
• A valid driving license and access to your own vehicle.
